On Wednesday October 10,
2012 Tim participated in the first of 4 pre Election Day debates; this first Legislative
Candidate debate sponsored by North Metro Mayors Association, and the Twin
Cities North Chamber of Commerce, took place at the New Brighton City Hall
Council Chambers.
Although this 3 way debate
was a new experience for Tim, he quickly settled into the event and presented
the consistent message of Constitutional government.
An unexpected part of the
debate was Tim’s DFL opponent developed a couple new vocabulary words Republic
and Constitution. Although sounding good using words like Constitution and
Republic; her real views of cradle to grave, nanny state, authoritarian control
view by government weaved throughout her debate answers.
There was not much about the
Republican candidate worth mentioning except her being on stage.
Tim gave public credit to
one Republican for having courage and integrity tonight; Dale Helm Republican
candidate for Minnesota HD41-A greeted Tim front chambers letting the room know
his acknowledgment of Tim’s participation in the debate. Other than Dale, the
other Republican leadership members attending the debate tonight ignored Tim.
The campaign staff is
