10-5-13 New Brighton Forum

Only being 3 months into our organizations existence the Constitution Party of Minnesota House District 41-B hosted a candidate forum for New Brighton on Saturday October 15, 2013. Long time radio host Bob Davis provided incredible opportunities for discussion as the moderator of the forum.

A great time was had; many positive comments were expressed by the participating audience on our BPOU forum approach allowing candidates to lead discussions. Here are some photos of the event and a schedule for folks in the district. When available HD41-B will post the video and share a link. Copies of the forum can be ordered through CTV15 by calling 651-792-7515.

9/15/13 Touch-A-Truck In Review

On September 14th, 2013 our campaign was able to join other organizations at the St. Anthony Touch-A-Truck event hosted by St. Anthony Chamber of Commerce. We invested $300.00 in materials and space usage to reach regular voting soccer moms. The soccer mom expectation became a reality as we met many mom voters who are disgusted with business as usual and dissatisfied with the Election Day ballot choices. Our 2014 updated business cards were very successful in connecting with voters. To our surprise there was an emotional connection for the voters as they looked closely at the logo, a realization of a possible alternate choice.

Our team stayed until the scheduled closing time of 4:00PM while other vendors moved out in anticipation of rain. We concluded the event packing up equipment and materials in a light drizzle; finding our experience well worth the investment.

Plan now to support our campaign efforts as we look toward fall events in the district; sporting events, Halloween, fall festivals, and community fundraisers are just a spattering example of our community outreach that cost real dollars. Visit our website today at www.timutzforhouse.com and make a generous donation. We use every dollar with utmost efficient consideration.

9/15/13 Thought For The Day

The only purpose a candidate should be running for public office. If they are ill-equipped to read, they have no business being a candidate.

8/22/13 First Day Of State Fair

What a great time I had working the Constitution Party of Minnesota State Fair Booth on opening day. Being alone at the booth was hard especially the times I was overwhelmed when 5-8 people were simultaneously asking for information engaging me in conversation. The other scheduled partner for the booth never arrived but I managed to make it through 13.5 hour shift alone while getting hoarse talking to so many people.

In the morning public TV visited and took some video commenting on how neat our booth setup was. All day I noticed people stopping and taking a photo, even other State Fair vendors visited commenting what a great idea our deck and setting was. The Constitution Party of Minnesota is a trailblazing, trend setting leader in more than political principle.

8/18/13 State Fair Booth Update

Yesterday we installed electrical for outside lighting, touchup painting, interior electrical, installed shelving, placed some rope lights and green deck outdoors carpet. Tomorrow we purchase lighting, tables and chairs for the deck, with final touches scheduled for Wednesday afternoon and evening.

As usual we seek your support, we have plans fro purchasing and handing out pencils, pocket constitutions, literature, and November 2014 election information. All this preplanning costs money, the more we receive in donations the more citizens we impact at the State Fair. With just days until the State Fair opening we need your generosity TODAY with a critical online donation at www.cpmn.org.

It is time to give and we say thanks for the support and “well see you at the fair”.

8/16/13 New Brighton Festival Survey

During the weekend festivities our group conducted a on site survey of 18-24 year olds seeking what would prompt them to engage in political activity, register and vote on Election Day for a specific candidate over traditional GOP/DFL candidates.

The results were interesting and challenging to connect the respondent’s expectations with knowing a specific third party candidate has those qualities. All the survey respondents knew of Jesse Ventura (not specifically what he did) having a positive view of Jesse.

Of the 22 respondents fair and honest won out at 17.9%, with friend’s enthusiasm, good values, trustworthy, and keeps promises managed a four way tie at 14.3 each, with 24.9% including 5 other categories. Translating this survey into Election Day supporting voting block is part of a successful non traditional major political party campaign.

8/16/13 New Brighton Stockyard Days Festival

We had a good time during the Stockyard Days festival at Long Lake Regional Park on August 9, 10 and 11. Other than the illegal presence of Homeland Security interfering with the free movements and privacy rights enshrined in our national and state constitutions and allowed by New Brighton city officials the weekend was a success.

The constitution Party HD41B and Tim Utz for House were the only political activity at the festival. There were plenty of interested people expressing disgust with their DFL and GOP parties, we provided an alternative folks are taking a serious look at 15 months ahead of the next election.

8/6/13 Constitution Party Fair Booth Update

I thank James N. and Bruce J. for joining me yesterday and transporting our State Fair booth from Burnsville to the State Fairgrounds, specifically on Underwood Street about a half block north of the Ghost Mansion.

During our journey the booth slipped off the trailer onto the road causing a temporary tourist attraction. When arriving at the State Fair we set and leveled the booth into place and went shopping at Menards for the new 2013 deck addition materials. Needing to wait for site electricity set up a decision was made to return today and resume work.

Calling the Fair offices this morning I learned our booth was 5’ off the approved location so the three of us met again on Underwood Street and relocated and leveled our booth, gaining State Fair management approval of the new location prior to leaving. Tomorrow I am hoping to assemble the new deck.

Painting is needed along with other amenities to complete the booth and deck before opening day. Also party leadership is discussing purchasing a large quantity of pencils with the CP of Minnesota logo to hand out during the fair. All this promotion, materials, literature, and upgrading had untold dividends for our party message but also costs money.

We ask you to visit our campaign website now at www.cpmn.org and make a generous contribution of $10.00, $50.00, $100.00, $500.00 or more allowing us resources appropriate for marketing the large crowds at the Minnesota State Fair.

8/3/13 Helping Those In Need

It is easy to talk about getting government out of the personal, corporate or foreign aid, but have no solutions for filling any legitimate gaps. Heading home from church on July 29, 2013 Nay and passed a van parked in a Holiday gas station lot with a hand written sign hanging from the driver’s side mirror stating “need help, need gas”.

Many people were passing the older couple sitting in this battered older vehicle not offering to give assistance or ask about their plight. We turned around and confirmed with the couple the need for fuel.  I instructed them to drive to the Holiday gas island about 30 feet away. I told the man to just start pumping, he paused at $10.00 and I said continue, he paused again at $20.00 and I said just fill it up. The vehicle being filled with $49.97 of fuel, we shook hands and of they went in tears.

Christ instructed us to care for those in need we meet in life. A great opportunity we had today, we hope you have and take the same opportunity.

8/3/13 St. Anthony parade Update

What a great time Team Tim Utz for MNHD41-B enjoyed participating in the St. Anthony Parade. The St. Anthony Parade staff and volunteers were so helpful with great personalities and positive attitudes. The parade crowds were vocal and loud as they expressed support for our campaign. Multiple times groups of spectators would shout “Go Tim” as he passed them. Many photos were taken and are being posted on line soon.

One observation was the level of support for our team verses the GOP unit in the parade. The GOP Senate District unit (being twice the size of our House district) had 8 people participate in the St. Anthony parade; while the Constitution Party of Minnesota 41B candidate for 2014, Tim Utz unit had 12 volunteers walk the St. Anthony Parade route.

There is one more summer parade for Tim Utz campaign this year; next Thursday August 8th 2013 in New Brighton, Minnesota assembling time is 5:30PM around New Brighton City Hall with the parade starting at 6:00PM. Remember the after parade party at Tim and nay’s home in Columbia Heights.

Team Tim Utz encourages you make every effort to participate in the last parade of the year, we want to make a statement to New Brighton Tim has community support. Dress in our campaign colors of green orange or purple or use one of our T-Shirts for the parade available prior to parade start.

Unable to attend we ask you participate by helping cover the parade costs with a generous donation at www.timutzforhouse.com.  Any questions just contact us at Tim@timutzforhouse.com or 763-781-5129, we will see you on Thursday!!!

8/2/13 St. Anthony Golf Tournament

Team Tim Utz for MN HD41-B sponsored a hole at the St. Anthony Golf tournament, and event part of the weekend festivities in St. Anthony. The team had conversations with 72 golfers, handed out 17 pocket Constitutions, and enjoyed a picnic after the tournament. The sponsorship investments provide contact with citizens one would rarely meet in general campaigning.

A noticeable observation was golfers noting they had knowledge of our Constitutions (State and Federal) and wanted their kids to have a pocket Constitution intending to have them read it. Team Tim Utz for MN HD41-B thanks those who supported our sponsorship this year, your investment on the campaign and preserving our Republic has positive community impact. Continue supporting our efforts by visiting www.timutzforhouse.com , clicking the “Donate” tab and making a donation today.

2/12/13 Flip Of A Coin, Literally

The Legislative Evaluation Assembly (http://www.mnlea.org/) met tonight hosting their annual banquet and business meeting. There were 6 candidates for the 5 open board positions. Who would guess there was a tie for the 5th board spot, an event not remembered in previous elections? The board members chose to toss a quarter breaking the tie, and low and behold yours truly Tim Utz won the coin toss and am a board member of the LEA for two years.

Tonight’s unfolding events show a political third party member can win elections, even when it requires a quarter.

1/29/13 No More A Republic?

It appears another private institution is losing its Constitutional right to privacy, personal association and religious convictions to the tyranny of mob rule. The American experiment of Republic government is quickly dissolving into a democracy, where the majority forces its views and convictions on the minority.

Apparently the Boy Scouts of America are collapsing under pressure and admitting Homosexuals into leadership positions and full access to male youth, while the church remains asleep.

Point of information the term is Homosexual not “Gay”.
1 Gay defined
a: happily excited : merry <in a gay mood>
b: keenly alive and exuberant : having or inducing high spirits <a bird's gay spring song>
 1 Homosexual defined
a: of, relating to, or characterized by a tendency to direct sexual desire toward another of the same sex
b: of, relating to, or involving sexual intercourse between persons of the same sex

11/23/13 Carry Permit Application

In Minnesota most people are misinformed on the gun permit laws thinking our state is a “Conceal and Carry” state. Let me be clear, Minnesota is a “Carry” state and has no requirement to conceal the firearm while in public.

That said, today I made the trip to the Anoka County Sheriff office with another liberty minded friend and we dropped off our permit applications. Behind the counter were hundreds of applications from last week sitting on a counter. The receptionist (protected behind bullet proof glass, think about the implications of bullet proof glass at a public building) indicated those were applications from last week and that business has been brisk recently.

Interested in attending Carry Permit classes like we did (a requirement for Carry Permit) contact our certified instructor Andy Lindberg at alindberg@visi.com for class schedule.

1/24/13 Donation

1/24/13 Donation
Yesterday we received our first campaign donation for 2014. Greg S. of Columbia Heights, Minnesota whipped out a $10.00 bill and handed over an investment toward a civil renewal of our Republic.

Thank You Greg for a forward thinking gesture. Join Greg today making a donation at www.timutzforhouse.com.

1/23/13 Police State 101, Senate Bill 124

Here we go folks, not only has civil authority (using self appointed privilege) wondered into the woods on this proposed legislation in Missouri demanding parents notify public schools they own firearms; the state thinks they demand the same notification information across school types including private Christian educational institutions.

This forced information can go wrong in so many ways. In just a few ideas of where this law would go is 1. Students will be assumed as troubled. 2. Parents will be branded a threat to community and educational facility. School therapists will have additional obligations to support those “difficult” families. Threat level lists will be established for when emergencies occur.

1/17/13 Time to Move On Yet?

How much longer will it be until conservatives move on? What must the GOP do before the conservatives leave the party? The GOP left their party platform decades ago and has no intention of returning. Want to take issue with me on that statement? First read the attached article of another GOP supported debt ceiling increase in the next few weeks.

Join me in HD41-B building the Constitution Party making a valued difference in state government. More information is available at contact@timutzforhouse.com.

1/16/13 "...Taking a less-hostile tone on abortion and gay rights..."

Is any conservative in the GOP reading the tea leaves yet? The GOP is just steps behind the DFL on the road to tyranny. The Constitution Party of Minnesota welcomes you to join our party. Not having large donors, corporate interests or government handouts we proudly charge an annual (calendar year) membership fee of $25.00 to pay for operational costs. Email the party Chairman at dthoule@redred.com for further information and application information.

1/16/13 Repeating History

“When diplomacy ends, War begins.”
Adolf Hitler

There is a fully engaged war for the civil, political soul of our Republic. The Republicans act like there is a pee-wee softball game and everyone gets a ribbon in the end. The fact is a society looses the freedom and a Republic dies.

1/16/13 A Shredded Constitution

Here we go folks. Elimination of what is left of our 2nd amendment. The psychiatric community and lobby continue to develop or “discover” more forms of mental illness each year leading to a 90% state of mental disorder in our society.

Conservatives continue loosing the argument (one created issue at a time) for protecting the 2nd amendment,; that of our Founding Fathers; to protect the civilian from a tyrannical government, nothing more, and nothing less. Not sport hunting, not personal protection, not collection.

The founders did not devise classes of 2nd Amendment ownership (mental illness, felons, good citizen, age appropriate, etc.) for citizens within the framework of our Constitutional Representative Republic.

In fact, based on their defining the 2nd Amendment every “Founding Father” if living today would be classified as a danger to them selves, a threat to the community, mentally ill, prohibited gun ownership, a terrorist and incarcerated.

1/14/13 No Christian Impact

Yesterday I had the opportunity to listen to the conclusion of the YMCA Youth in Government Model Assembly Session where 1600 metro area students involved in YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association, emphasis on Christian) and their advisors spent the weekend creating a complete State government including full House, Senate, Executive, Judicial branches, office of Attorney General and Secretary of State.

The organization then introduced bills, debated and passed new law. They actually took over the legislative chambers for a portion of the process in St. Paul. I applaud the education attempt by the YMCA and Minnesota Governmental Relations Council for creating such a great opportunity for 8-12 grade students for the last 59 years.

The closing program opened in prayer giving me hope of real progress in modern American culture. But the prayer even took a disappointing turn boasting the need of communal partnerships, the value of group over individualism and government’s goodness in helping those in need.

Then many references to our “democracy” followed throughout the program, not one mention of our Constitution or Republic form of government. Even more disturbing was the constant proud mentioning by many speakers of the weekend accomplishments of passing two specific bills Homosexual and Lesbian marriage, and requiring a mental health evaluation testing on any gun applicant prior to a purchase.

Draw your own conclusion, for me the future fails the test of our founders and Biblical standards. I asked myself what ever happened to the Church and Christians. I thought they are the light of the world, and salt among the people? If they cannot impact the YMCA emphases on Christian, they have less to no impact on the population in general.

1/13/12 Mass Violence Solution

All public/private facilities have fire extinguishers conspicuously placed, easily accessible for emergencies. Many public/private facilities are or have installed AED’s conspicuously around to save lives from heart attacks.

Perhaps the time is now to install in all public/private facilities FAC’s or Firearm Accessibility Cabinets conspicuously located to provide full protection in the event of mass violence emergencies. The cabinets would include a Ruger 9mm and 10 fully loaded 10 round clips, a warning label stating “when using point, pull trigger and do not hesitate”.

1/11/13 Who Are We in 2013

When a police car pulls behind you on the road do you check your seat belt, slow to the speed limit, keep viewing the rear view mirror until the police change lanes?

When you prepare your income taxes papers do you pray everything you did last year was correct and you get a refund and not have to pay more?

When you do that home improvement project, does a knot develop in your stomach until the building inspector finishes inspecting your project and signs off on you permit.

Do you fear the annual property tax statement arriving in the mail?

Do you purchase pieces of government papers “allowing” you to fish, get married or divorced, hunt, snowmobile, visit a government park to cross country sky, use watercraft, purchase ammunition, drive vehicles, obtain employment, cut someone’s hair, walk through a park, or build a deck on your property.

Do you show government issued identification to purchase store drugs, board aircraft, sign a notary, cash a check, check out a library book, rescue a pet from an animal shelter, receive medical services or purchase a home, cigarettes or liquor?

Do you have to submit your fingerprints to be a school field trip volunteer, become employed, cash a check, purchase explosives, volunteer in government programs?

Our founders provided us with freedom shrouded within a Republic, yet we voluntarily exchanged that freedom for State tyranny and rejected the Republic for the status as “subjects”.
