12/28/11 And I Lost A Friend In Death

Today has become a moment in life one would never forget, a moment when comrade is lost. I lost my friend today to death, a friend who shared a common bond as a brother, one I could call anytime for help or to laugh with at the world, someone to share the ups and downs in life with as years passed. A friend who would jokingly say “talking with me about my experiences in life helped him to appreciate all he had”, though the same I would think the same of him.

I have had 26 years of knowing we could just pick up the phone call each other and resume a conversation whether we last talked yesterday or 2 months ago. I already miss my friend, a tear about to drop on my campaign laptop as I contemplate the loss. Even this big tough guy experiences heartache, loss and pain when death reaches out and takes my friend.

My friend left a brother, sister, wife of 30 years plus and 3 grown sons, who as a family grieve his death tonight.

12/13/11 Poor Stewardship Or Disregard Neither Good

MN Statute 3.101 Living Expenses, in part states: ‘A member of the legislature in addition… shall be reimbursed for living and other expenses incurred in the performance of duties or engaging in official business during a regular or special session……’  This is what is commonly known as ‘per diem.’ For 2011, the Legislature set the amount at $77.00 per day of per diem for transportation to and from the capitol and lodging.

Prior to session, each legislator sets a customized payment schedule for receiving per diem; similarly, HD 50-A Representative Carolyn Laine, scheduled herself to receive per diem 7 days a week throughout 2011 session.

During January 2011 session, Rep. Laine developed a serious medical condition requiring hospitalization and home recovery resulting in an absence 38 out of 64 days or 59% of the “Legislative Days” defined as officially conducting business in the House Chambers; of 143 calendar days Carolyn missed 98 days or 68.5%, days per diem is based on. Carolyn still took full per diem during the session totaling $10,549.00, just $131.00 shy of what the Speaker of the House, Kurt Zellers (R) Maple Grove, received and he missed just a couple session days.

Additionally, Carolyn pledged not to take compensation, along with about 16 other House Representatives, during the state government shutdown yet reporting information shows she applied for and received full retroactive compensation after the 2011 special session.

We all understand the need for Carolyn to take time off to address personal health issues and want her to do so; we wish her a full recovery.  Her time off is not at issue; the questions that do beckon to be answered are:  Have Carolyn’s actions relative to per diem and compensation pledges violated public trust or her credibility as our representative in our Constitutional Republic?  Is this an appropriate way to demonstrate good stewardship of taxpayer money?  Do these actions warrant Carolyn’s continued employment by this House District?  The decision remains in the hands of “We the People”.

12/12/11 Last fundraiser For 2011

Dear liberty friends,

The people of Minnesota worked tirelessly in 2010 to elect conservative Republicans in Minnesota and won control of both chambers of the Legislature (the Senate for the first time in over 40 years) with three directives from the people of the state;

•Cut state spending
•Reduce the scope of government
•Appropriately re-district

All three directives failed. Minnesota has a 15% larger budget, increased intrusive government and the subject of this communication a re-districting process illegally proceeding through the Minnesota Supreme Court.

The Minnesota Constitution specifically prohibits judiciary participation, in fact prohibits executive participation, and required the legislature to finalize and pass re-districting prior to the end of 2011 session* (May 23, 2011) then, as needed, prohibit judicial and Executive meddling.

Similarly, to the last two re-districting processes, every protective checks and balances established by “We the People” under our state constitution has failed in 2011; leaving our system of state government in total constitutional anarchy around the issue of re-districting. Sadly, most people of Minnesota are clueless to this reality.

Simultaneously, both the GOP and DFL were filing multiple court challenges and rebuttals in both federal and state courts in January 2011 when the Minnesota Legislature convened to process re-districting in Minnesota among other constitutional obligations. The Minnesota GOP controlled legislature failed to protect the re-districting plans completed during the 2011 Legislative Session by allowing the Governor to veto the plan under a 1970’s illegal reinterpretation of the Minnesota Constitution by the courts. Re-districting is a constitutional function of the Legislature and not a bill subjected to a Governor’s veto**. In August 2011, I chose to challenge the failures of our legislature and super-imposed involvement of the Minnesota Supreme Court and I submitted an amicus curie brief directing the Minnesota Supreme Court to adhere to the strict reading of the Minnesota Constitution on judicial participation in re-districting and excuse their participation.

Minnesota Republican connected and conservative organizations as plaintiffs in the case filed a rebuttal to my amicus curie brief. On September 12, 2011, the Minnesota Supreme Court, agreeing to the Constitutional power of Legislature to re-district, proceeded to sight multiple court opinions and rulings to justify their conclusion; the courts have constitutional powers for re-districting and rejected my amicus curie.

My challenge to the judicial participation in re-districting is just one example of my commitment to Constitutional government. I ask for your financial support to aid our efforts to win the Minnesota House 50A seat in 2012. I made a commitment to not accept public campaign subsidies. While I believe this is the right thing to do, it also means that our campaign must rely entirely on the contributions of individuals. Please take a moment and send your 2011 end of year campaign donation today. Every $10, $25, $50 or $100 donation gets us one step closer to ensuring a true conservative, constitutional representative will be in the Minnesota House in 2012.

11/27/11 Airport Baggage Claims Area

On Sunday November 27th Tim Utz joined fellow Constitution Party members at the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport baggage claim area promoting the Constitution Party of Minnesota to airport passengers.

The opportunity to share with passengers is offered through a Metropolitan Airports Commission program promoting “Freedom of Expression” areas at the public facility; we know that is such a quandary statement in America for a country holding liberty supreme among the people.

We continue scheduling times at the airport and are looking for other folks interested in preserving a Constitutional Republic to consider joining the Constitution Party and helping at our airport baggage claims area.

12/5/2011 Campaign Work Stations

One observation I learned from watching Ron Paul for president in 2008, unlike his current 2012 campaign, Ron Paul did not expect to win, thus he failed to invest in equipment, time and campaigning resourses to win.

With those observations from Ron Paul 2008, this morning at 1:20am CDT I completed installing 26 feet of countertop in the campaign headquarters (the basement of “The White House”) sp...
ecifically for campaign volunteers. The accommodations allow for 13 simultaneous volunteers working phone banks, stuffing envelopes or internet activities.

Now is where you get involved. The campaign needs to supply this volunteer office area with chairs, supplies and other essentials. For folks who live outside the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, visit our campaign website at
www.timutzforhouse.com and donate generously, or place a check in an envelope and mail today to Tim Utz for House 2012, 4141 Stinson Blvd NE Columbia Heights, Minnesota 55421. For folks living closer, we need you to step forward providing contact information and activities you are willing to participate in, or give generously. Living near or far you can share the campaign needs with your contacts, helping secure liberty for the people.

Thank You in advance

The campaign staff and Tim, Nay Utz

12/3/11 Minnesota GOP Convention

I attended the Minnesota Republican full state central convention this morning at the Double Tree hotel and convention center in Bloomington. The purpose of the convention was electing a replacement for Deputy Chair resignation of Michael Brodkorb.

Last night at 5:000pm Tony Sutton, the Minnesota Republican Party Chairman resigned leaving today’s convention without either the Chair or Deputy Chair. I stayed around for the first couple hours visiting with supporters, dignitaries and elected Republican officials before heading home for a full day of activities.

It appears the Minnesota Republican Party is challenged in the coming months as it regains a footing on political leadership. Only time will tell what direction the party in Minnesota will go as delegates with competing visions force a direction.

11/30/11 Visiting David's Auto

Nadine and I made a business stop today at David’s Auto on 40th Street in Columbia Heights. We have done business together for 6 years; and Dave continues providing exceptional service.

Next time you are in need of automotive service albeit an oil change or motor replacement stop by and check out David’s Auto. Let Dave know we suggested a visit, enjoy some of his lobby coffee and expect Dave to talk your ear off. Needing a reliable good used vehicle, Dave has a nice selection onsite.

11/30/11 Sign Waving

I took my grandson Ben out for an hour tonight sign waving on behalf of our campaign. We stopped at 45th and Benjamin, 44th and Reservoir, in Columbia Heights and the Target store in Fridley. We had a great time together as Ben learned how rejection, praise and support are offered by the average citizen toward candidates.

Campaign season for the 2012 elections is currently in full swing for serious candidates like Tim Utz for Minnesota House in 2012. Take time today and join our email list, donate any amount up to the Campaign Finance law limit of $100.00 and join our efforts on the campaign trail.

Silver Lake, located in our back yard, froze over last night for the second time this fall; while today we observed a gaggle of geese on the lake ice. A light dusting of snow across the lake this evening resulted in a beautiful sight, defining the blossom of winter.

11/30/11 Parroting Ron Paul

I find it laughable, that daily, the main stream media and “conservative” talk shows including Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Shawn Hannity, using their podium states Ron Paul is unelectable because he holds such extreme views that are in conflict with “main stream” conservative Republicans; yet at the same time this same group consider all the other 7 Republican “candidates” electable as they tailor their positions toward Tea Party voters and “right wing” segment of the GOP parroting the campaign platform of Ron Paul.

If a candidate does not have a platform within their soul, no stump speech will change their core standards including the 7 Republican presidential candidates in contention with Ron Paul. You want to know where the candidates stand on the issues of the day; start with their past 20-30 year public stances, voting records, then vote on principle for the candidates with a record to back their campaign stump speeches; if you vote otherwise then you are throwing away and wasting your vote.

11/29/11 Where is the leadership?

I am left bewildered as the Minnesota GOP and DFL House and Senate leadership causes and the governor maneuver, spin, deceive and plot a special session to provide a billionaire businessman hundreds of millions in tax dollars, unconstitutional bonding for a football theme park called “Ziggy Land”.

Why do not the GOP and DFL leadership causes of the Minnesota House and Senate maneuver, spin, deceive and plot a special session to provide a re-districting plan for the next decade. The Minnesota Constitution requires the Legislature (not Executive or Judicial) to re-district by May 23, 2011, a full 6 months ago.

Where is the principled leadership; state government is so out of control and a lost Constitutional compliance has resulted in anarchy at the capitol. I do pray citizens get involved, find principled candidates with Constitutional convictions, then support them with time, money. The very existence of our Republic (not a democracy) is at stake.

11/21/11 Are You One Of The Virtuous 56

Unlike in the humble appeals to the English King in the 17th century, where clearly defined objections were visible, the tyrant was living across “The Pond”, and 56 virtuous, principled leaders changed the course of historical governments; in the 21st century the “King” is not an individual but a philosophy of state control, embedded in layers of unconstitutional bureaucracy, on our own shores, suffocating divinely gifted civil and religious liberty.

Most Americans are clueless to a reality the elections of 2012 began several months ago as individuals who hold opposing philosophical views of divinely gifted liberty or tyranny of a cradle to grave nanny state. Tim Utz for Minnesota House 50-A in 2012 is a divinely gifted liberty candidate, actively engaged in political process.

The needs during every political campaign life cycle varies; donations, time, volunteers, access to voters, are just several examples. A continuous campaign need, especially in the early campaign cycle, is revenue or donations; for Tim Utz for Minnesota House 50-A in 2012, the need for 56, 21st century virtuous, principled leaders stepping forward and donating $100.00 each, is now.

Are you one of the 56; a group of individuals gifted with revenues, a conviction for divinely gifted civil and religious liberty government, and an action oriented person? Take action, donate now to Tim Utz for Minnesota House 50-A in 2012 at www.timutzforhouse.com or send a check to Tim Utz for House 4141 Stinson Blvd NE Columbia Heights, Minnesota 55421.

11/16/11 Voting Responsibilities

"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual - or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country."

11/12/11 A Future Campaign Staff Member

The Tim Utz for House campaign photographer/reporter Peter Lydecker and his wife Karin are proud first time parents of a son, Simon William Donald Lydecker, born at North Memorial Hospital on November 7, 2011 9:57 am after 47 hours of induced labor. Simon weighed 8 pounds 13 ounces and came in at 20.5 inches. Peter, the new mom and son are leaving North Memorial today after spending a week sharing a hospital room together.

Tim and Nadine want to personally congratulate Peter and Karin for the new life they are blessed with. Tim joked with Peter he should plan for graduation day, as time just passes with raising kids. Peter mentioned the generosity of hospital staff and management at North Memorial and wanted to Thank the hospital staff for their professional, personal participation during this last week.

I spoke at the North Metro Tea Party meeting tonight at the Blue Ox in Roseville, Minnesota during a 60 second round robin. I managed to get my message out in 90 seconds. My wife, Nadine, has not heard me public speak for a couple months was pleasantly surprised how my attending Toastmasters has helped my communication skills level; I see a 2012 victory for Constitutional government in 50-A.

10/31/11 Halloween Update

As events unfolded tonight Nadine and I were the only people on the campaign bus tonight, but we still enjoyed the evening. Nadine drove the bus while enjoying the various decorated yards as I focused on where families were; meeting and greeting everyone possible. The route started in Northern Fridley, traveling South East of University to 44th Avenue in Columbia Heights.

The very popular supply of “Utz” pretzels for the adults failed to last all night. Still so many folks were excited to visit, express their support and several even stated they will switch their support to Tim Utz next November.

In all we rated the evening an A++ for contact, communications and community support. Again we need your financial support today, along with bus lettering, office supplies, showing support through donations is critical.

Visit www.timutzforhouse.com now and make a generous donation of any amount up to the 2011 campaign finance limit of $100.00 per person.

10/20/11 the "Perfect Politician"

What if God sent us the Perfect Politician and gave us a choice
To turn from our ways, and gave us a voice?

What would he look like, this hero-to-be?
Would he be hansome with perfect hair, perfect teeth?
Would he be tall, broad and strong?
Always be right and never be wrong?

Would he put down his foes, shame them outright,
Bring up their past, in their failure delight?

Would he know all the right answers to America's ills,
Would he solve all our problems with the stroke of his quill?

Or would he be humble, unassuming and meek,
When accused and cajoled, turn the other cheek?

Would it be policy or people he serves,
Stand up for Truth, Principle his nerve?

Would he be consistent, year after year,
Or change his opinion to suit the right ear?

Would he cater to the rich, the nobles and elite,
Or to the peasant, the man on the street?

God's perfect man would bring Justice to all,
The rich, the poor, the great and the small.

Unyeilding in principle, true to the end,
offering peace, his hand as a friend.

"Do no harm" his motto would be,
but, "Defend my home? I guarantee".

But what if we missed him in his humble attire,
Overlooked him for a more eloquent sire?

That wouldn't be right! Miss him, surely not!

Heroes are always easy to spot.

10/14/11 Thoughts For The Day

10/14/11 Campaign Donations

Nadine and I thank every one who has supported Constitutional government, preserving America’s Republic and limited Minnesota bureaucracy through supporting our campaign over the last 39 months. Making a move to the Constitution Party on principles this fall, has caused people to review their political purposes. Party affiliation has impact on voter choices in addition to name recognition of candidates. We have the name recognition and are working to provide voters two choices in November 2012, a far left liberal Marxist or a Constitutional compliant statesman.

Every state has some form of campaign finance oversight, with various levels of individual donation limits. Some state caps are in the thousands of dollars individually, while Minnesota law and Campaign Finance Board rules restrict individual donations to candidates to $100.00 in 2011. The campaign for Tim Utz has supporters wanting to contribute over the Minnesota cap, but is prohibited in doing so. As 2011 comes to a close in 78 days, the opportunity for giving to our campaign this year quickly ends; our campaign hopes you take the chance to give $100.00 in 2011, an appropriation that does not roll over into 2012. In 2012, individuals will have a higher contribution limit of $250.00, but opportunities for giving in 2011 are lost after December 31, 2011.

Nadine and I ask you to consider making an “end of year” contribution while the opportunity exists for 2011. Not giving in 2011 reduces the contribution impact of individuals toward any campaign in Minnesota including Tim Utz for House 2012. Visit www.timutzforhouse.com today and make an electronic contribution or donate by mail at Tim Utz 4141 Stinson Blvd. NE Columbia Heights, Minnesota 55421; any amount of $10.00, $25.00 $50.00 or even $100.00 is money not available to give in 2012.

Respectfully Submitted

9/10/11 MN HD50-A Ron Paul Sign Bomb Update

Attempted to do a sign bomb this morning, but the logistics, sign size created a distraction for a positive Ron Paul experience for traffic. Perhaps a better plan next time will produce better results. As for today, some people were educated.

Nadine and I visited the Fridley Fire/Police open house today. We enjoyed the time and had a chance to visit with a couple folks. I am not understanding how to email the photos from my camera, until then just trust me, heard that before from a politician, remember I claim to be a statesman. J

10/8/11 Last Night Football Game

The campaign staff and Tim attended the Columbia Heights homecoming football game last night. The group had a blast, although the home football team (us) lost something like 50 plus to 13. 9/24/11 Campaign Donation Needs

The campaign has several fundraising needs. So to those who support liberty and have not donated yet now is your chance to give any amount up to $100.00 this year.

1. Halloween is in a few weeks and we take the campaign bus through the district meeting folks and handing out candy. Our process is having folks purchase 2 bags of $.10 candy (Minnesota campaign finance law restrictions) and drop off the receipt and bags at our home; our goal is collecting $200.00 in candy for distribution. For those living outside our area you can send a $10.00 check and we purchase candy just prior to Halloween.

2. We are having the bus lettering costs priced now. Dahlen Sign Company from Shakopee is our supplier for this campaign need. Next week we expect to know the costs but expect costs in the $400.00 range.

3. The fall plans are to deliver a literature introduction piece to addresses in the district. The cost for this project is around $1,000.00.

4. The campaign bus we purchased has several maintenance needs and we expect that cost is around $250.00. Although the bus is an expense the value is priceless exposing our campaign and brand to the community year round.

Again thanks for your support and either visit
www.timutzforhouse.com to donate on line or mail a check to Tim Utz for House 4141 Stinson Blvd NE Columbia Heights, MN 55421

8/17/11 Time For Party Affiliation Change

For decades Tim Utz has maintained a membership in the Republican Party and working intently within the party structure for the last 3 years to effect change toward conservative, constitutional government and principles supporting legislative action that reflects such thought; in addition running as a Republican candidate in 2008 and 2010 in a DFL voting district creating a citizen shift from voting for a party to voting for a principled candidate, now the time has come to make a change.

The Minnesota Republican brand, message and Legislative actions in the last year are not reflective of core conservative principles, especially considering Minnesota has experienced continued large increases in state government through the Republican controlled House and Senate.

In American history real individual leadership has risen to a challenge and taken forward visionary action to effect the greatest efficiency in accomplishing a goal; but always knowing the actions taken is the correct route, whether alone or with others.

Tim Utz is taking such forward visionary action in announcing his change in political party affiliation from the Republican Party of Minnesota to the Constitution Party of Minnesota. In keeping with many Republicans who value Ronald Regan, Tim Utz would like to modify a Ronald Regan quote from 1962 when, as a Democrat, Regan changed political parties. 50 years later, in 2012, Tim Utz is stating "I didn't leave the Republican Party. The party left me."

Tim Utz wants to say thank you for past, present, and future support as we arrive on Election Day 2012 with a victory for “liberty” and not a “political party”.

8/16/11 Investing And Not Just Talking

Last week we purchased a book named “Lives of the Signers of the Declaration” an 1848 original reprint provided by WallBuilders. We then donated the book to our city owned Columbia Heights Library; and are awaiting their approval of the book for placement in the library.

We suggest you check out local libraries and county systems looking for original publications from Americas founding period. It will surprise you how few if any original or reprinted publications are offered from that period. Our American history has been revised, and in many cases deleted from public access in the library systems.

Wall builders provides a large collection of original reprinted publications you could purchase and donate to your local library system, then market the donated books through your local papers by submitting a “letter to the editor” promoting the new publications donated to the library.

This is a simple yet effective way to Restore our Republic, and provide Fidelity to our Constitution.

8/8/11 Join In The Education

Participate and learn our real American Heritage as we meet weekly watching the WallBuilders presentation. The valuable series is worth the extra effort to attend. This week videos are Faith of our Founding Fathers part 2 and The Ideas That Birthed a Nation.

6/3/11 Minnesota Supreme Court

After giving the Minnesota Legislature the Minnesota Constitutionally appropriate time to finalize redistricting for our state including Special Session; on August 3, 2011, Tim Utz as a private citizen in Minnesota, filed an Amicus Brief with the Minnesota Supreme Court on behalf of all citizens of Minnesota in cast number A110152.

The amicus brief directs the Supreme Court to dismiss case number A110152 and direct the Legislature to fulfill their Constitutional responsibilities as dictated by “We the People” in our Minnesota Constitution.

We shall see what happens, but until “We the People” start taking control of government at every level, from local municipalities to Judicial bodies including our Supreme Courts freedom will vanish, and tyranny will consume the lamp of liberty forever on earth.

Tim Utz

 AMICUS BRIEF

_______________________________________________________________________

“We the People” recognize the subordinate powers of the Legislative, Executive and
Judicial branches of government enshrined in the preamble and Article 1, Section 1 of
the Minnesota Constitution to “We the People”.

FINDINGS OF FACT

Whereas: Said separations of powers as established by “We the People” in the Minnesota
Constitution clearly restricts the influences of the three branches over one another.

Whereas: The Federal Constitution in Article 1, Section 2, requires enumeration of the national
population specifically to provide representation in national government.

As Established: The Minnesota Constitution in Article 4, Section 3 requires the Legislature to
establish Congressional and Legislative districts, not the Executive or Judicial branches of state government.

As Established: The Minnesota Constitution in Article 4, Section 3 requires the legislature to
produce a final redistricting plan to “We the People” prior to the end of the 2011 session. As
such, the Minnesota Legislature failed to comply with the Minnesota Constitutional requirements of “We the People” during said session.

As Established: The Minnesota Constitution Article 6 states that “We the People” established
judicial limits of authority and provides “NO” Judicial oversight of the Legislative re-districting
activities or process.

As established: The Will of “We the People” clearly articulates Judicial exclusion of the matter
before the courts on re-districting; no case law, precedents or Judicial review has application or
authority to supersede the clarity and unapologetic direction of “We the People” of Minnesota
enumerated in the Minnesota State Constitution.‘

Conclusion: In keeping with “We the People” Constitutional Powers are supreme over our
subordinate three branches of government; Therefore “We the People” strongly urge the
Minnesota Supreme Court to post haste withdraw their involvement from any re-districting
Activity or process in Minnesota, based on the direct Constitutional will of “We the People”,
dismiss case number A110152 with prejudice and direct the Minnesota legislature to complete
their constitutional responsibilities.

7/28/11 Simple Blessings From Heaven

In our attempt for austerity in campaign spending we look for deals that are not compromising on campaign principles, quality of our goods and services or fudging the message.

Such an opportunity happened tonight as we recently received a modest donation. Needing copy paper, as we ran out on Monday 7/25/11, we arrived at Staples in Roseville to purchase a case of paper on sale. An even better offer was available for a case of 20# 92 Bright copy paper for $10.00 saving us $26.00. We took no time purchasing the case; thanks to last week donors who provided the $40.00 donations giving us the liberty to visit Staple’s tonight.

Remember our campaign fundraiser “Five Dollar Friday” on Facebook and the internet is tomorrow. Visit our website and make a generous donation, we do attempt making every dollar invested productive.

Flip-flopping On Gimmicks?

Our Representative Carolyn Laine House District 50-A has every right and responsibility to inform “We the People” of her voting record and reasons for such vote. Recently, in a letter to the editor Carolyn Laine explained her “no” vote for 2011 Special Session stating “… it perpetuates greed…continues short term thinking by borrowing and accounting gimmicks… Republican solution is fiscally irresponsible. It borrows $1.4 billion from our schools and our future revenue.

Voting records do matter, and reflect a Representatives position and view of government. In the latest argument of Carolyn Laine on gimmicks of budgeting I take issue.

On 5/17/10 Carolyn Laine voted “Yes” on 2010 Special Session 1, HF-01 which used accounting gimmicks to take $2.7 billion from various state department budgets including $1.9 billion from Department of Education future income to balance projected general fund shortfalls.

On 10/18/10 Carolyn Laine voted “Yes” on 2010 Special Session 2, HF-01 which used accounting gimmicks to take $237 million from Department of Human Services future income to balance projected general fund shortfalls. In addition HF-01 directly violates Minnesota Constitution Article 4 Section 17 single subject, by including emergency funding for flood relief.

It appears Carolyn Laine is ok with funding gimmicks when DFL Representatives are in control of both Minnesota House and Senate as in 2010, yet when a different political party controls the Minnesota House and Senate Carolyn Laine suddenly flips her position on funding gimmicks and vehemently opposes the very practice she voted “yes” on twice last year. Draw your own conclusions on her voting record.

7/5/11 Real Inflation Not In Government Reports

Hawaiian Punch, the official campaign drink of Tim Utz for House, just made its second price increase at Cub Foods in a year, this time a 15% increase to $3.23 per gallon. Real inflation, not the government propaganda numbers are visible in pricing, volume, lower wages and quality of goods and services across the economy.

7/4/11 Thank You To My Wife

Starting noon on Friday past through her bedtime last night, for some 82 hours my wife has provided the best testimony on love, commitment, care, marriage and service to another. She stepped out of her comfort zone, going beyond expectation and cared for me her husband. I publicly thank my wife, Nay, for standing in the gap over the weekend, during the critical time of my illness. Thanks Nay, Love you Tim

6/30/11 Minnesota Government Shutdown

I just returned from the MN Capitol, a public employee rally was in progress. I located the out numbered College Republican’s. I met Ryan Lyk the MCR Chairman, a great young man with plenty of responsibility leading the thousands of MCR members.

I also met Andrew Madsen, Young Guns Coalition President. I had a special time with Andrew on an elevated political/spiritual historical level I only see in a couple adults.

6/24/11 Columbia Heights Parade

Our campaign photographer and reporter had to work on Friday 6/24/11 during the Columbia Heights parade. Peter was able tom get a few photos after the event.

Thousands of folks were in attendance for the parade, especially on 40th Avenue as I turned off Central all I saw was a sea of people all the way down the street. I shook hundreds of peoples hands, had many folks say they are ready to support me next year and anticipate a victory.

6/24/11 Today Is 2012 Campaign Season

For serious liberty minded candidates the 2012 campaign season has started. Re-districting means a different population to reach for Election Day. Tim Utz for House needs to reach that group in 2011, 2012 is too late. Your $20.00 donation today will help reach the new voters in our district. Take a moment now and send $20.00 to Tim Utz for House 4141 Stinson Blvd NE Columbia Heights, Minnesota. Thanks in advance.

6/24/11 Simple Submission To Rules, Not For Our Representative

We had a great time yesterday at the Fridley parade; I walked the parade route in reverse prior to the parade meeting a lot of local citizens. Also the parade rules specifically stated in BOLD RED on the application on handouts, stickers or literature, yet Representative Carolyn Laine, my DFL opponent handed out hundreds of campaign stickers in direct violation of parade rules, so much for honoring the rule of law.

6/22/11 A Great Eatery "Tender Maid Sandwich shop"

I was reminded today of a great local eatery in Austin, Minnesota called Tender Maid Sandwich Shop. A great locally owned family business that has served Austin for decades. Back in March Sheldon and I just happened to make a wrong turn in Austin when we stumbled across this jewel of eating establishments.

Next time you are in the Austin area make it a point to stop in and have lunch. Let the owners know Tim Utz and Sheldon Beilke recommended you make the stop. The store number is 507-437-7907.

6/22/11 The American Heritage Series Continues Tuesday Nights

Amazing how history is diluted, changed by design to persuade groups to follow self developed power centers. Republican and Democrat parties are guilty on this subject. I learned last night the KKK was developed by Southern Democrats after Civil War; not as a race issue but to impact the ability of blacks (99% were Republican) to participate in government and run for office. Of the about 4,500 lynching’s 1,200 were whites who supported Republican blacks.

6/19/11 Father's Day For Fathers

Happy father’s day to all father’s in our network. In the civil arena we are blessed having our Founding Fathers who stood in the line of fire to provide our liberty and the greatest experiment in government. In our spiritual arena we have a heavenly father who provides eternal salvation through his son Jesus Christ. Today may we all acknowledge the blessings of the fathers who have affected our lives; then personally thank them for their contributions?

6/9/11 Arbitrary Exections Fail Value Test

I remember how celebrations erupted across the Middle East and Muslim countries after the 9/11/01 attacks in America. Crowds cheered across the globe at the devastation against America, and we (rightly so) were repulsed.

Recently, Osama Bin Laden was killed by our American Special Forces in a raid on his home. Americans, as the Muslim world did in 2001, celebrated and praised the assassination; even today Americans continue celebrating as the terror group replaces Osama Bin Laden with another leader. As the details of the raid by Special Forces against Osama became public the world learned Osama while in the presence of family, was shot twice as he was unarmed and not resisting.

Each day I spend time reading and observing events around the world; keeping up on activities of finance, business, government and religion. Today I watched a video originating from Pakistan where an unarmed non resistant civilian was basically executed by military forces in broad daylight and at a public park.

Unlike any other video, this video actually disturbed me, as armed military personal arbitrarily executed a compliant human being. There is guilt differential between Osama Bin Laden and this young Pakistani, but I share this video to show the emotional, graphic, tragic and personal reality of an arbitrary execution. Draw your own conclusion but I personally have problems with this type of execution by armed military, no matter who it might be.

6/6/11 Principles Lost Again

Just keep chiseling away at compromising Minnesota Republican House and Senate leadership, another $110,000,000.00. Where is that financial line in the sand at this time?

Romney, Trump and Cain

I fear like Romney and Trump, Cain has too many ties to corporatism and internationalism from the business background. If a small business background candidate would toss their hat in the ring, I suspect they could properly function in government. The problem with Cain is big business like big government has unrestricted access to resources that cloud their ability to recognize bad policy, or restrictions on activities, as they just purchase their way through tough times like the trillions in Federal Reserve aid provided big business in the last 2-3 years, to big to fail approach provided more of the same, and Cain would naturally do just that.
