3/31/12 Term Limits And Electability

Among other issues for voters and citizens in 2012, two issues continue propping up; term limits and electability of civil servants (politicians). God directed Israel to never lose sight of their historical foundations and the instruction of old.

The admonition of our Creator to Israel provides a forceful consideration of our historical foundations and the instruction of old. Our founding father, Samuel Adams provided instruction, action and responsibility for us on both issues of term limits and electability of civil servants as part of an essay in the Boston Gazette, April 16, 1781.

We are without excuse for the political conditions of our times, we were instructed, warned and choose ignorance over responsibility for regular civil participation.

"Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote that he is not making a present or a compliment to please an individual - or at least that he ought not so to do; but that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country."

                                                                                                   ~ Samuel Adams, Founding Father
