Minnesota, a sovereign free state of citizens granted their
civil, religious liberties from our God and loyal to a Republic form of self governing
individuals; Minnesota voluntarily joined in union with like minded peer states
forming a subordinate, to the people of said states a national civil government
temporarily gifted authority for repelling “external” forces and securing solid
weights and measures, a stable currency.
