You know that saying “how much is enough, just a little more”.
Today I came across a story in Bloomberg News about the 100 richest people in
the world. There were some interesting statements in this story that brought my
thoughts to a Biblical story.
In the Bible Luke chapter 12 verses 13-30 Jesus gave a
warning about the sins of envy, covetousness, hording and vanity.
Jesus tells a story of a rich man destroying his full barns
to build larger barns for holding his amassed material increase and for self
fulfillment; including the envy of those without such wealth.
A great Biblical read and another reason our founders
demanded Biblical teaching in all schools public and private, teaching character
and personal moral; creating leaders to serve in public office, those willing
to do right for the preservation of our Republic form of government.
