As campaign manager for Sheldon Beilke for Deputy Chair at the Minnesota Republican Party State Central convention in Bloomington, Minnesota on April 16, 2011 at the Ramada Mall of America Hotel I had a blast, working the Delegates and Alternates, guiding Sheldon around the convention helping him to make political connections and support.
We had a convention table that turned out being a staging area rather than promoting Sheldon's campaign. We had to vacate our suite from the night before by noon. Nadine (my wife) did a great job on getting the hotel room cleaned up for check-out and setting up posters around the convention with Mona's help. Greg Sloat and worked hard making sure Sheldon had coffee and filling in where I could not while focusing on Sheldon's campaigning. Mona took my spot on the convention floor as Delegate and did a stand-up job there. John Anderson came later to provide support. Sheldon had to seek out people to greet prior to his speech. All in all, Sheldon knocked out of the park his speech to the convention. After the speech people continually approached Sheldon thanking him for presenting his message.
