7/4/12 Nothing Short Of Hot

As with every holiday during the course of a year, we ventured out on July 4^th 2012 seeking voters. Our first attempt occurred during the heat of the day (heat index of 113) and lasted a short hour as we managed to travel around and visit Silver Lake Park, in Columbia Heights. We returned to “The White House” for refreshments, and some food.

The second attempt in the evening after 7:30 found the weather better especially as the sun continued setting. Mona and Tim traveled in New Brighton waving and greeting many folks who started venturing out of their homes. We knew everyone was home with all the vehicles parked in driveways, and people looking out their windows. The positive name recognition was especially encouraging and reflective of a strong ground game for 2012.
